The 2018 Global Fleet Conference will be hosted in Rome next May 28 to 30, marking the first time the conference will be held in Italy.

The conference attracts multinational fleet managers and global fleet suppliers from around the world to learn and exchange ideas about the most pressing topics affecting their international fleets and build professional and personal connections. The Global Fleet Conference, which is approaching its sixth year, alternates between U.S. and European locations. The conference was hosted in Brussels, Belgium the previous two times that conference was held in Europe.

This year, the three-day conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center, located in the monumental EUR Business District, between the Historic Center and Fiumicino Airport.

So far for on the bill this year, Fleet Europe has announced that there will be two sessions dedicated to Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. The conference will feature a welcome reception, an official global fleet conference dinner, and ample networking opportunities.

The conference will address several key fleet issues, including how the global economy will affect fleets; setting up the right global fleet team and the communication process; embracing innovation in global fleet management, global fleet safety trends; global mobility management; and more.

The most recent Global Fleet Conference, which was held in Miami, Fla., was highlighted by presentations on global best practices and fleet market reports from regions across the globe. A record 300 attendees were present during the three-day event, which has sold out every year since its inception in 2013. The conference in 2018 is also expected to sell-out, so early registration is highly recommended.

The 2017 conference featured sessions included in-depth regional fleet market reports for Latin America, Australasia, and Europe presented by in-country subject-matter experts. The conference featured keynote presentations from G. Mustafa Mohatarem, Ph.D., chief economist for General Motors, and Kevin Mulcahy senior director – future of business for Tata Consultancy Services on the impact of disruptive technologies in global fleet management.
