2009 AFLA Conference Registration Up Since Last Year
PHOENIX - Attendee registration for the 2009 AFLA Conference is tracking ahead of the well-attended 2008 conference, which is exceeding the association's initial forecast for conference attendance.
PHOENIX- Attendee registration for the 2009 AFLA Conference is tracking ahead of the well-attended 2008 conference, which is exceeding the association's initial forecast for conference attendance. "Considering the economic climate and the tumultuous events of the past 12 months, it is a strong demonstration of industry support of AFLA," said Mike Antich, AFLA president.
"There has been a sea swell of acceptance by commercial fleet managers that AFLA is increasingly becoming known as their voice to the industry. In addition, survey feedback has shown that the high level strategic focus of the conference agenda meets the needs of today's veteran commercial fleet managers," said Antich.
Cited as the must-attend event for fleet professionals, the 2009 AFLA Conference is scheduled for Sept. 9-11 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. If you have not already registered for the conference, go to www.aflaonline.com.
This year's 27 nominees for the 2009 Fleet Hall of Fame have been narrowed down, with nine inductees to be announced at the AFLA conference. There will be a special video commemorating AFLA's 40th anniversary that will be shown during the Fleet Hall of Fame ceremony.
If you've registered for the conference but have not yet secured hotel arrangements, the last day to get the $179 group rate on a hotel room at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa is Monday, August 17. Guests must mention they are with AFLA. Click here for more information.
A number of current AFLA members have described their experiences in the fleet industry in a series of Time Capsule videos available online. The following five videos can be viewed by clicking the links below:
