As executive VP and COO, Ortell assumes direct responsibility for operations, client relations, and human resources, according to ARI President Bill McKee.
"In addition, as executive vice president, a position in which he has served since 2006, he will continue to be directly responsible for Finance and Information Systems as well as leadership of ARI's North American Strategy and Global Partnerships," said McKee.
Ortell has been with ARI since 1986, serving in a number of positions including senior vice president - finance, controller, operations manager for Special Markets, accounting manager, and tax manager. Ortell continues to serve as president and chairman of the board for Global Fleet Services, Inc. (GFS), the first alliance of international fleet service companies.
As senior vice president – finance, Brian Bates will oversee ARI's Treasury, Financial Services and Accounting departments.

"In 2009, Brian will focus on expanding ARI's funding relationships and lead company-wide efficiency efforts," noted Bill McKee, ARI president.
Bates joined ARI as a financial analyst after graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics in 1991. Since then, Bates' success in his various roles has demonstrated his proficiency in finance and leadership. His most recent position was vice president - finance.
