Acertus Emerges From MetroGistics Acqusitions

MetroGistics has rebranded itself as Acertus to reflect its acquisitions of McNutt, AmeriFleet, and Metro Title Services in recent years as the vehicle logistics provider moves to position itself as a one-stop shop for vehicle lifecycle solutions.

Acertus will continue to be based in St. Louis, and will maintain facilities in Alpharetta, Ga., and Lexena., Kan.

The company has unveiled a new corporate logo with a graphic element resembling a pinpoint icon that's used on electronic maps.

MetroGistics was founded in 2010 and began its string of acquisitions in 2014 with its purchase of McNutt Automotive Logistics. The company acquired AmeriFleet in 2016 and Metro Title Services in 2017.

"As Acertus, we will now be able to offer more services to help our customers while also maintaining the same high level of extraordinary commitment in all we do," said William Billiter, MetroGistics co-founder and chief executive. "Without having to call multiple vendors, you will be able to arrange seamless end-to-end services with a single phone call or click of a mouse."

The company will offer services including vehicle haul and driveaway, fleet logistics and management, technology solutions, title and registration, compliance and care services, vehicle storate at more than 60 locations in North America, and final-mile delivery solutions.
