The Virginia Division of Capitol Police has added a new six-seat Polaris GEM electric vehicle to its fleet.
An estimated 1,946 units are affected by a structural defect.

Polaris Industries Inc. is recalling 4,394 Global Electric Motorcars (GEMs) manufactured from Jan. 14, 2010, through Nov. 23, 2012, to fix the parking brakes, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
