HDT Announces Top 50 Green Fleets of 2014

Heavy Duty Trucking announced its second annual Top 50 Green Fleets at the Green Fleet Conference in Schaumburg, Ill., Thursday. A ceremony was held at the conference to honor these fleets for their sustainability efforts in areas such as fuel economy, alternative fuels and emissions.

This year’s Green Fleet Conference in Schaumburg, Ill., features the Ride & Drive event where attendees will have the chance to get behind the wheel of alternative-fueled vehicles from major automotive manufacturers.

The key to a successful fleet sustainability program is making options available. Alternative fuels work in some regions of the country, while hybrids or bi-fuel vehicles may work best in other areas.
