While the Northern District of Georgia granted the FTC's motion for summary judgment as to liability for FleetCor and its CEO — thus avoiding a trial — the court ruled in the company’s favor by denying the FTC’s claim for monetary relief.
FTC Files New Complaint Against FleetCor
The new complaint seeks redress under another section of the FTC Act. A U.S. Supreme Court ruling earlier this year found that the agency could not seek redress for customers under section 13(b) of the FTC Act.
