EU Commercial Vehicle Sales Suffer from COVID-19

In the first quarter of 2020, the European Union commercial vehicle market contracted by 23.2% to 413,327 units as a direct consequence of slowdowns seen in March, as measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus lead to the closure of dealerships. 

European Fleets Respond to New Emissions Standards

Fleet registrations in the European Union saw record breaking numbers in August, bolstered by the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) deadline, which is a new required measurement of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as their pollutant emissions, effective Sept. 1.

Fleet registrations in the European Union were stable for the month of June and the first half of the year overall, inching up slightly when compared to last year.
