The 2015 Buick Encore compact SUV has been rated with a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
New recalls cover such models as the Chevrolet Impala, Buick Encore, Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Spark, Pontiac G3 and Chevrolet Aveo.
The automaker announces six new recalls involving such models as the Chevrolet Silverado LD and HD, GMC Sierra LD and HD, Buick Regal, and Chevrolet Caprice PPV. The two largest of the six recalls involve seats.
In addition to older models, this latest round of recalls includes some late-model Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick vehicles.
The 2013 Buick Encore sold 31,046 units in its first model year as the nameplate's initial offering in the luxury compact SUV segment, according to General Motors.
Buick is one of just a few brands with a full line of 2013 Top Safety Picks. In addition, the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, and Enclave all have a NHTSA 5-star overall rating.
The five-passenger, four-cylinder Encore dropped a couple weight classes to duke it out with a select class of fighters, while boasting an impressive cargo capacity at 18 cubic feet.
DETROIT – General Motors announced its 2013-MY Buick Encore luxury crossover will get an EPA-rated 28 mpg combined fuel economy (25 city, 33 highway) when equipped with a standard six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
