American Public Works Association (APWA) North American Snow Conference

DES MOINES, IOWA — The American Public Works Association's North American Snow Conference is a national convention and equipment show specific to snow & ice control and winter operations, hosted in 2009 by the Iowa Chapter of APWA in Des Moines, IA.

It will include more than 40 education and roundtable sessions and more than 120 companies represented on the exhibit floor.

The 2009 Conference will be held at the Iowa Events Center, HyVee Hall.

Sunday, April 26

1:00 - 5:00 p.m.: Education Sessions and Opening General Session

5:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Exhibits Open/Opening Reception on Exhibit Floor

Monday, April 27

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Education Sessions and one General Session

9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.: Exhibits Open/Lunch on Exhibit Floor

Tuesday, April 28

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Education Sessions and Closing General Session

8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Exhibits Open/Lunch on Exhibit Floor

6:00 - 9:00 pm.: Dinner Event at Living History Farms

Wednesday, April 29

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon: Technical Tour

(one tour will visit all three of these facilities: City of Ankeny Public Works Operations, Iowa DOT Operations, and Joint Salt Storage Facility servicing nine municipalities)
