Renting

The term used in some European countries, e.g., Spain, for closed end leases, which ordinarily include the lessor assuming responsibility for maintenance and tire costs in addition to residual value risk. In many other countries, "Renting" typically refers to contracting for the use of a vehicle on a short term basis, usually defined as one year or less (often just one or two days).
