Professional Fleet Manager of the Year Award

Awarded annually since 1985 by Automotive Fleet Magazine, the Professional Fleet Manager of the Year honors an experienced fleet manager who has demonstrated exemplary professional ability and leadership qualities in developing and implementing effective fleet policies and programs.

Areas of review for judging include operating costs, replacement cycling and used vehicle disposal, vehicle selection, preventive maintenance and repair, driver eligibility and safety, financial analysis, and other areas that demand the expertise and skills of a dedicated fleet professional.

The first recipient of the award was Jack Lamb of Exxon in 1985.

The 2012 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year is Lee Miller, senior manager of fleet services for Boehringer Ingelheim.
