Fuel Cell

A fuel cell generates electricity via a chemical reaction. A fuel cell has a positive and a negative electrode (cathode and anode) and an electrolyte that carries charged particles from one electrode to the other. There are a number of different types of fuel cells that use a range of fuels to create electricity. Hydrogen is often used in fuel cells as one of the fuel types.
