John Dmochowsky, senior global fleet manager for Mondelēz International, was named the 2017 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year at AFLA's annual conference.
For much of his career, Dmochowsky worked in the sales division of Kraft Foods. He spent 18 years with the company, and eventually landed in the position of manager of sales fleet operations after an internal restructuring. In 2015, he was promoted to global fleet manager of Mondeléz, which had a global fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles in 2017.
At the time he won the award, Dmochowsky was overseeing strategic developments in the global policy administration, partnership relations, budgeting, vehicle acquisition and disposal, driver safety programs, auditing, greenhouse gas initiatives, fuel management initiatives, and all other cost-avoidance projects.
