General Motors will invest $127.4 million for powertrain and structural components to support the creation of new aluminum engine blocks and other parts at its Bedford Casting Operations, GM has announced.

This investment will create approximately 127 future jobs, compared to the current 700 employees at Bedford Casting Operations. This plant creates transmission casings, converter housings, heads, and small gas engine blocks used in Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles. 

GM has invested more than $426 million in this plant since 2010. Thus far, GM has committed to donating more than $6.5 billion in U.S facility investment, creating new approximately 3,370 new jobs, and securing 15,350 employee positions.
