Alternative Fuel

An alternative fuel ("alt fuel") vehicle is one that runs on non-traditional fuel (not petroleum-based or diesel fuels). Alt-fuel can also refer to alternative vehicle power source or alternative power technology, such as an electric vehicle. Examples of alternative fuels are hydrogen, E-85 (ethanol), propane, CNG, and electric.
