FALS (Ford Authorized Leasing System)

As its name implies, the Ford Authorized Leasing System (FALS) is a certified system of leasing Ford vehicles by authorized Ford dealers. Ford Motor Company has placed its personnel, know-how, national facilities and famous trademark at the disposal of dealers to improve their competitive position for vehicle leasing.

FALS members are trained in all aspects of the leasing business and ongoing support is provided in the way of sales aids, seminars and lectures. The Ford marketing division coordinates the activities of members within regional divisions. So successful is the program that FALS members are located in all 50 states.

One of the best-known figures in automobile leasing, James J. Larkin was the primary architect of the FALS. "Founding FALS", (July '86) authored by Larkin, provides an inside view of how the FALS empire first began and ultimately grew throughout the nation.
