CAFM

Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) is the fleet management industry's highest level of certification. Currently more than 500 fleet managers have joined the exclusive ranks of CAFM certification holders, according to the NAFA Fleet Management Association. In addition, NAFA stated that there are typically more than 500 fleet managers currently enrolled as candidates in the CAFM program at any given time.

To become certified, an applicant must pass a series of comprehensive examinations to demonstrate expertise in the eight disciplines of automotive fleet management: Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Professional Development, Vehicle Fuel Management, Asset Management, Business Management, Financial Management, and Risk Management. Designed to identify and recognize exceptional fleet management professionals, the CAFM designation is being required by more and more employers prior to, or shortly after, employment.

The CAFM designation is The Center for Professional Fleet Certification (CPFC), which is an alliance of fleet industry associations, entities and universities formed to advance the fleet management profession by establishing standards of excellence, certifying attainment of those standards, and promulgating those standards so they attain universal acceptance.

Organizations join the Center by endorsing and supporting the certification programs endorsed by the Center. You can find out more about NAFA's CAFM program here.
