LOS ANGELES – Coca-Cola held an event in Los Angeles on August 12 to show its expanded fleet of “green” vehicles, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times. The article notes Coca-Cola’s green vehicle fleet consists of 691 hybrid electric medium-duty trucks, with 43 more on order.

According to Tim Heinen, vice president of field operations for Coca-Cola's western region, the newer trucks have helped the company reduce its fuel costs by 22 percent.
