Through close co-operation with local partners, MiX Telematics has secured two large projects in the Middle East. A contract with Nestlé, won by partner Fleet Management Solutions International (FMSi), will see 350 vehicles across Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Oman fitted with a MiX Telematics solution. And, following a successful trial run by Fleet Tracking Technologies (FTT), in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Training department has opted to connect 2,000 additional vehicles to FM-Web.

FTT, another MiX Telematics fleet management partner in the Middle East, was responsible for the roll-out of an initial 500 connected vehicles for Saudi Aramco in December 2011.

According to MiX Telematics, both Nestlé Middle East and Saudi Aramco can expect to see significant fuel savings, optimized resource management, and improved safety levels through driver behavior modification.
