CYPRESS, CA – Mitsubishi plans to debut its all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show along with its 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition. The automaker said the 2014 Outlander will feature a new engine that uses the company’s advanced MIVEC continuously-variable valve lift timing system for increased fuel economy.

Mitsubishi added that the new compact crossover will offer seating for up to seven passengers, will feature a new interior design, and new safety technologies, including forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Mitsubishi plans to release more details when it officially unveils the vehicle.

The 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition features blackout side mirrors, a center bumper, wheel arch trim and roof rails, dark-chrome alloy wheels, and "Limited Edition" badging. The vehicle also comes with a new engine balancer shaft for smoother shifting. Other features on this edition include a new six-way adjustable power driver’s seat, aluminum brake and accelerator pedals, a leather parking brake lever, and available special two-tone Dove Grey and Black leather seating surfaces.

The company added it plans to highlight other achievements during its presentation at the LA Auto Show.
