Chrysler Expands Jeep Liberty Recall to 2006-2007 Model Years

AUBURN HILLS, MI – Chrysler is recalling 137,176 model-year 2006 and 2007 Jeep Liberty SUVs. The automaker said it is recalling these vehicles in regions where salt is used on roadways due to the vehicles’ lower rear control arms corroding excessively from the salt.

This recall action supplements a recall of 2004 and 2005 model-year Jeep Liberty models. The automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with the lower rear control arms issue.
