UNIONTOWN, OH – The price of an oil change at retail isn't what it used to be, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine's recent Facts issue. The issue shows the average price of an oil change offered by a retail tire chain in the U.S. was $20.55 in 2011.
This price reflects a 2% increase over 2010 prices but a 21% increase when compared with prices five years ago. The chart below shows how prices have increased:
