CINCINNATI – Cintas Corp., one of Automotive Fleet magazine's Top 300 Commercial Fleets, is offering a free, online driver training course for businesses. The company said that in an effort to reduce costs and increase driver productivity for businesses, the training offer will focus on safe driving practices and distractions that may cause drivers to lose focus, including multi-tasking while driving and busy schedules.

“In 2009, nearly 34,000 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes in the United States,” said David Bingham, Director of AEDs and Training, Cintas. “So it is extremely important that companies spend the time and the resources to train their employees on defensive driving techniques that they can use whether they are delivering goods and services to their customers or simply driving to and from work.”

As part of Cintas’ First Aid & Safety Training and Compliance Division, the online course catalog also includes first-aid and CPR, fire extinguisher, automatic external defibrillator (AED), and other safety training courses.

Cintas stated its blended training and compliance solutions include online, classroom, and compliance programs taught by OSHA-certified trainers. Cintas’ training courses are designed to help companies stay compliant with OSHA standards and enhance workplace safety training.
