ATLANTA – NexTraq, the value leader of GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions, today announces expanded functionality within the NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform. In addition to the recent announcement of GIS Mapping integration, NexTraq has added Driver ID and asset tracking functionality to its solution as well as fuel card integration based directly on customer feedback.

Automatic Driver Assignment

Many service and distribution companies struggle with manually keeping track of their vehicles and which driver is assigned to them. Because of this, it is often difficult to identify and correct driver issues. With automatic driver assignment, vehicle driver and shift information is always associated with the correct driver. The benefits are three-fold as a driver can quickly login to a vehicle using a key fob, a dispatcher can simplify their workday by not having to assign drivers to different vehicles and management can generate driver-based reports as well.

Fuel Card Integration

Additionally, NexTraq customers can integrate their fleet’s fuel card purchases into our GPS vehicle tracking solution with NexTraq’s Fleet Fuel card partners, gaining a complete view of their fleet operations and a better understanding of fleet fuel costs and inefficiencies. With the integrated Fuel Purchase Report, clients can tailor reports by company, fleet or vehicle, identifying total costs without sifting through a card statement. The reporting functionality also saves customers time and frustration when preparing their quarterly IFTA report.

Asset Tracking

NexTraq expands its tracking ability with the addition of an asset tracking hardware device that reports through its GPS fleet tracking solution. It’s a complete solution for businesses that need better visibility to coordinate and utilize their assets. Ideal for trailers, generators, road side signage, forklifts, backhoes and containers, the device is simple to install and has a seven year battery life. Customers can track their assets through geofencing or an alert on movement in the cloud-based NexTraq solutions.

Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq, said, “The recent investments in research and development continue to position NexTraq as the market leader in the telematics industry. As we continue to offer new software features and hardware devices, we aim to provide our customers with the tools they need to automate and streamline their fleet operations while helping them build their success.”
