TORRANCE, CA – Honda said flooding in Thailand continues to affect its suppliers in that country, which is affecting the automaker’s North American vehicle production at its six plants in the U.S. and Canada.

Honda said auto production rates will vary from plant to plant, and some will produce at a rate higher than the 50-percent level it had previously announced, up through Nov. 23 in the U.S. and Nov. 25 in Canada.

The company said in addition to the non-production day already scheduled for Friday, Nov.11, it is also scheduling a non-production day for Friday, Nov.18.

Lastly, Honda said it doesn't foresee the supply chain issue affecting the launch of its all-new 2012 Honda CR-V, and that the vehicle will launch on schedule in December.
