DEARBORN, MI – LG Electronics USA has selected the 2012 Ford Focus as the vehicle for the company’s LG Brand Ambassador team of in-store merchandising professionals, according to a news release from Ford. The company’s LG Brand Ambassadors are teams that work with consumer electronics and appliance retailers. They assist those retailers with consumer education programs, sales associate training, and merchandising.

The company is running a fleet of 200 Ford Focus hatchbacks that will display the company’s logo and “Life’s Good” slogan.

Automotive Fleet contacted LG USA and spoke with John Taylor, Vice President, LG Electronics USA, Inc., about the company’s fleet and how the company is managing it. Taylor said James Fishler, senior vice president, Go-to-Market Operations for LG Electronics USA, is managing the fleet internally the company. The company is working with a retail sales services company called ActionLink and an affiliated company called ProFleet to manage this new fleet.

LG USA's Fishler said he selected the Focus for its fuel economy and functional design.

“We selected the Focus based on its striking design, fuel economy and functional flexibility,” Fishler said. “Its SYNC hands-free technology also enables us to communicate with our team in a safe way. In all, the Ford Focus attributes resonate with our brand attributes of stylish design and smart technology, making it an easy choice.”

LG USA's Taylor said it will see cost savings from using this new fleet as well.

"We see significant savings through these  mileage-efficient vehicles, but the branding is a primary motivation," he said.

According to Ford and LG, the company is putting its LG Brand Ambassadors on the road as part of a new initiative to establish a consistent company brand image and message with consumers and retailers.
