STAMFORD, CT – HomeServe USA, a provider of emergency home repair programs, launched a new fleet of company-branded service vehicles in the northeastern U.S. The company said that over the next 12 months, its entire fleet of 140 service vans will be replaced with upgraded, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly vehicles, though the company did not disclose which vehicles it plans to put into service.

The vehicles will support HomeServe customers in the metro New York area, Rhode Island and portions of Massachusetts who the company said were formerly served by National Grid Energy Services (NGES). HomeServe acquired the service contract business of NGES in August 2010.
