SANTA ANA, CA – The Pacific Southwest Chapter of NAFA will address the topic of tires at its March 1 meeting. The updated deadline for registration is Monday, Feb. 28.

The meeting’s presentation, titled “Everything You Wanted To Know About Tires, But Were Too Afraid To Ask,” will cover how new tires are made and tires are retread; what are EPA SmartWay low-rolling-resistance tires; how do tire-pressure monitoring systems affect fleets; an explanation of tire number and letter classifications as well as tire usage guidelines; and how to reduce costs and improve safety.

In addition, the chapter will hold elections by voice vote at the Mar. 1 meeting. The nomination committee, consisting of A.J. Iamaio, Richard Teebay, and Jeff Coleman, presents the following slate of candidates for the Pacific Southwest Chapter 2011-12 Board.

The chapter will hold the meeting at Tarulli Tire, 2411 1st St., Santa Ana, CA. Free on-street parking is available just west of Tarulli Tire on N.
