BREA, CA - Widely recognized for its versatile lineup of activity-oriented products, American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) proclaims itself the preferred automotive company of Great Outdoors Month. From automobiles to motorcycles, ATVs and marine engines, Suzuki boasts a rich history of delivering exhilarating products that inspire discovery, empowering outdoor enthusiasts to satisfy their desire for new experiences and fulfilling their recreational needs.

Suzuki's engaging discovery is exemplified by its strong offering of lifestyle-based vehicles, including the bold and functional SX4 Sport, SX4 Crossover and SX4 SportBack, rugged Grand Vitara compact SUV, award-winning Equator pickup truck and spirited Kizashi sport sedan.

The SX4 Crossover, America's most affordable all-wheel-drive vehicle, offers a tactile driving experience combined with the flexibility and ease-of-use of a five-door design. The vehicle's fully integrated touch-screen navigation system, standard on the front-wheel-drive SX4 Crossover, SX4 SportBack and the SX4 Sport, facilitates confident exploration of the great outdoors with a wide range of features that enable stress-free adventures.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara is the only non-luxury SUV to combine the hardware of a true 4x4, like its two-speed transfer case and hill descent control, with the premium construction of a luxury SUV - a unibody structure underpinned by RWD architecture. In many ways the ultimate discovery vehicle, the Grand Vitara helps consumers engage directly with their environment. For RV owners, a Grand Vitara equipped with an automatic transmission or with the Four-Mode full-time four-wheel-drive system can also be flat-towed - ideal for consumers celebrating Great Outdoors Month at their favorite campsite.

The Equator pickup offers a well-rounded combination of style, utility, comfort and off-road capability, which truck buyers - many of whom are passionate Suzuki motorcycle, ATV and marine owners and loyalists - demand and enjoy. Available in both Extended Cab and Crew Cab body styles and rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations, and with a maximum towing capacity rated at 6,500 pounds, the Equator has all the qualifications to enhance consumers' weekend adventures.

With the introduction of the Kizashi in 2010, followed by the debut of the 2011 Kizashi Sport, American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) boldly enters the sport sedan segment. The Kizashi, the company's first all-wheel-drive sport sedan, delivers a unique blend of dynamic performance attributes and premium design aesthetics and craftsmanship yet to be experienced in this volume, midsize category. The Kizashi redefines the traditional performance sedan and moves the Suzuki brand upscale without abandoning Suzuki's traditional emphasis on content and value. Furthermore, its active and energetic identity, a core component of the Suzuki brand DNA, is augmented by the vehicle's overall mission to provide strong - albeit refined - urban performance.

Beyond its fun-to-drive products in dealer showrooms across the county, Suzuki has introduced an assortment of eye-catching, brand-dedicated concept vehicles specially designed for outdoor adventurers and illustrating the endless real-world capabilities of Suzuki's production cars and trucks.

SX4 Makai Concept - Beachgoers and surf aficionados will enjoy the ride to the beach as much as the sand itself with Makai's dedicated open-car body style for breezy fun-in-the-sun motoring. Makai also comes equipped with a custom surfboard mounting rack and dual matching sunset orange trimmed boards.

Grand Vitara Dune Concept - Designed for off-road enthusiasts who demand off-road capabilities, the Dune concept comes well-equipped with 11.5 inches of minimum ground clearance and a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds, providing enough muscle to add a huge dose of exhilaration to any weekend. Roomy on the inside, the five-passenger Dune features a rear off-road gear storage and "mobile garage" work station, ideal for last-minute adjustments.

Equator Quad Concept - Built to resemble the Suzuki Quad Runner ATV, and to accommodate a recreational outdoor lifestyle, the Quad concept comes outfitted with a Crew Cab and military "look and feel." In addition to a custom paint job and a two-and-a-half inch front end lift, the exterior of the truck has been modified with a set of 500 series fog lamps, a safari-style front bumper, front skid plate and tubular rocker guards.

Further supporting its claim as the preferred vehicle company of Great Outdoors Month, Suzuki boasts an impressive résumé of past and present partnerships with some of the most well-known and influential activity-oriented organizations. Since 2005, Suzuki has been the presenting sponsor of the Surfer Poll & Video Awards and partnered with the Surfrider Foundation and the U.S.A. Surf Team. Suzuki also is currently signed on as the presenting sponsor of the thrilling 3D IMAX® film Ultimate Wave Tahiti, featuring nine-time surfing champion Kelly Slater. In addition to surfing, Suzuki has immersed itself at a number of lifestyle-oriented outdoor events and competitions that reflect the exuberance and energy of its brand spirit, including the Columbia Triathlon, Pittsburgh Triathlon, Philadelphia Triathlon and the Granny Gear 24 Hour Mountain Bike Series, a nationwide series of 24-hour endurance mountain bike races.
