DEARBORN, MI - Ford Motor Company announced a 32-percent improvement in fleet sales in May, compared with a year ago.
The automaker said the increase primarily reflects higher sales of Ford's trucks to commercial customers.
Overall, Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealers delivered 192,253 new vehicles in May - a 23 percent increase versus a year ago, marking the sixth month in a row Ford sales have increased more than 20 percent.
Sales for the Transit Connect totaled 2,315 in May - the highest for any month so far, according to Ford.
