WASHINGTON - Nissan North America is recalling more than 134,000 MY 2005-2007 Infiniti G35 coupes and MY 2005-2006 G35 sedans because of an airbag issue.

The wire harness connecting the belt tension sensor and the occupant detection sensor control unit under the front passenger seat can experience movement. This in turn can cause wear and oxidation of the terminals and may cause interruption of the signal. In the event of a crash, the airbag may not deploy, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Nissan said no injuries have been reported because of this condition. The automaker will develop a plan to remedy the problem.
