LONDON - BMW, Vauxhall, and the Volkswagen Golf were among the winners at the Fleet News Awards night on March 17 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, according to Fleet News.

Winners included:

2010 Company Car of the Year: Volkswagen Golf.

Fleet Manager of the Year: Caroline Sandall, Barclays Bank. Her fleet was also named fleet of the year in the 501-plus vehicle category.

Fleet Initiative of the Year: Tesco Dotcom, occupational road risk strategy.

Best Lower Medium Car: Volkswagen Golf.

Fleet Manufacturer of the Year: Vauxhall.

Green Manufacturer of the Year: BMW.

Most Improved Manufacturer: Skoda.

Tony Leigh, head of car fleet services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, entered the Fleet News Hall of Fame for his services to the fleet sector, including an 11-year term as director of trade body the Association of Car Fleet Operators.
