COLUMBUS, OH - Safelite Charitable Foundation announced it will donate $20,000 to the American Red Cross' relief efforts and $5,000 to Hands Together, an organization operating a school and clinic in Port-au-Prince. The American Red Cross International Response Fund provides immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help the Haitian relief effort.

"As we have seen on the news, urgent help is needed for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti," said Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite AutoGlass. "Although we are thousands of miles away, there are still many ways we can ensure people receive the food, water, medical care and shelter they so desperately need."

The mission of the Safelite Charitable Foundation is to support organizations that promote the health and well-being of families through monetary donations, in-kind contributions and volunteer hours. The Foundation is committed to being a responsible member of the community, providing support to those outside its doorstep and around the world. Continuing the internal "Giving Back" company philosophy, Safelite employees are leading continued efforts to donate directly to the American Red Cross fund.

"Safelite associates are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the earthquake and want to help," said Feeney.  "I thank all of our associates in advance for their contributions and our thoughts are with everyone affected by this disaster."
