MT. LAUREL, NJ - Automotive Resources International (ARI) introduced a new Toll Management Program designed to eliminate Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) violations and reduce associated penalties and administration for its clients.

ARI's program affords clients a turnkey solution for the growing problem of toll violations. ARI will work with its clients and with toll authorities to register plates or manage the purchase, fulfillment and replacement of transponders to ensure that all tolls are paid in full. Should a client incur a toll violation, the ARI program ensures that the toll and violation are paid to prevent further penalties and subsequent paperwork. In cases of dispute, ARI will work with the appropriate toll authority on behalf of its clients. The Toll Management Program permits online alerts based on client-defined criteria through ARI insights.

According to Tim Delaney, Licensing and Compliance manager for ARI, cashless toll systems are spreading throughout the country, and electronic toll violation management is an increasing critical issue for fleet managers. Fees for toll violations that are not paid in a timely manner can escalate drastically and lead to the loss of vehicle use until outstanding costs are settled. ARI's new solution eliminates these violations altogether and streamlines administration for clients.

"The new program is just one part of our comprehensive approach to controlling fleet costs," notes Delaney. "We work with our clients to add appropriate information, restrictions or regulations on the use of toll roads, bridges and tunnels to policies. Our web-based driver training and customized driver communications reinforce appropriate driver behavior. And lastly, we can analyze a fleet's geographic footprint and use of toll roads, bridges and tunnels to make the best possible recommendations for cost-reducing practices and operating alternatives."
