ORLANDO, FL --- The National Safety Council recently announced that United Parcel Service (UPS) has been awarded its 2009 President's Award during a banquet at the annual Congress & Expo. 

The President's Award was given in recognition of UPS' commitment to safety in the communities it serves. UPS recently started the Road Code Teen Safe Driving Program, a four-week training program based on the company's safe driving principles taught by some of the company's best drivers. The course is currently offered through the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. 

In addition, 52 companies and organizations were presented with NSC Occupational Safety Awards, in recognition of individuals who have demonstrated their dedication to employee safety.
