GAINESVILLE, GA - Resale values continued to show strength last week and have been pretty consistent the last three months, reported Black Book managing editor Ricky Beggs.

Of the 14 truck segments Black Book examines, only two experienced a decline in value, with overall value movement remaining positive for the past 17 straight weeks.

Car values also climbed last week, with just one of the 10 segments exhibiting a decrease in pricing. Beggs said the last three months have exhibited a consistent trend in increased values for cars.

"The bottom line," Beggs said, "is the auction activity has solid buyer interest with a few models being extremely strong."

However, he anticipates a brief slowdown in wholesale demand with the end of the Cash for Clunkers program.
