PRINCETON, NJ – NAFA Fleet Management Association announced on June 18 the release of its Fleet Maintenance Operations Guide, with 540 pages of detailed information and answers to the questions fleet managers face every day.

The guide was created for fleet managers from various sectors, including large corporations, government entities, universities, or other fleet sectors. It contains valuable forms, lists of standards, checklists, and guidelines to assist fleet managers with their operation; detailed chapters that present comprehensive topic reviews complete with easy reference tools; lists of additional resources for further research and investigation after each chapter; and an appendix with fleet department job descriptions, ASE and EVT information, and EPA-approved RCRA Vehicle Maintenance Guidelines.

Chapters explore the essential maintenance principles of in-house, contracted, and outsourced maintenance, with titles such as: "Preventive Maintenance & Warranty Operations", "Shop Operations", "Environmental Issues", "Inventory Management", "Benchmarking Staff Performance", "Outsourcing", and "Maintenance Staffing".

The Fleet Maintenance Operation Guide is available as an e-download or on CD. More information can be found at www.nafa.org.
