SANTA CRUZ, CA --- To help California and Washington drivers prepare for the upcoming hands-free laws in their states, cell-phone headset manufacturer Plantronics has launched a new Web site called Plantronics City. The Web site includes resources for learning more about laws being adopted across the U.S. and tips for using hands-free devices while driving.

Following hands-free laws in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, California and Washington will enact new legislation on July 1 that will make it mandatory to use hands-free devices such as headsets when using a cell phone while driving.

"The goal of the site is to provide a fun, interactive destination where visitors can educate themselves about the laws, select a headset that fits their individual needs, and learn tips and tricks for using hands-free devices while driving," said Clay Hausmann, vice president of corporate marketing for Plantronics.
