MADISON, WI - Graham “Gray” Perrett, fleet manager for American Family Insurance Co. in Madison, Wis., passed away Feb. 5, 2008. He was 70. Perrett had suffered a stroke in November 2006 and died of complications associated with the stroke. Perrett had been in the automotive business for 40 years  working as a salesman at different dealerships. Prior to joining American Family in 1987, Perrett was fleet manager at the Don Miller dealerships in Madison, WI.

For the last 20 years he was the fleet manager for American Family Mutual Insurance Co. When Perrett joined the company, the fleet had just over 900 vehicles. Today, the fleet is comprised of  1,400 vehicles. He was an active NAFA member for the past 20 years.

Perrett was born Oct. 12, 1937 in Devizes, Wiltshire, England. He graduated from Central High School in Madison, Wis. in 1955.  He had a passion for soccer, and was a founding member of the Madison 56er Soccer Club.  Perrett was very involved with soccer, first as a player, and when he was no longer able to play, as a game commissioner, referee commissioner, state board member, and coach. Perrett was inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame.
