DETROIT --- General Motors Corp. ushered in the Detroit auto show by introducing two alt-fuel concept cars --- the Hummer HX and the Saab 9-4X, which run on ethanol. The show, formally known as the North American International Auto Show, got underway yesterday. While introducing the two cars, GM Chief Executive Rick Wagoner vowed that the company would produce ethanol versions of all GM vehicles, the Los Angeles Times reported. He also announced that GM has made a major investment in Coskata, an ethanol manufacturer based in Illinois.
