WAYNE, N.J. - Hankook Tire America Corp. will raise prices by up to four percent on its full line of passenger, high performance, and light truck tires. The amount of the increase will vary by product line and/or size, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. The increases will take effect Oct. 1, 2007.

The price increases “reflect rising costs in raw materials as well as higher costs in transportation and general operating expenses,” according to Hankook.

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (up to four percent), Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. (3.5 percent), and Continental Tire North America Inc. (up to six percent) also will raise consumer tire prices on Oct. 1.
