CARSON, CA – A 61-year-old man refueling a passenger shuttle van was killed Saturday when the gas tank exploded, according to CBS. Bob Mancuso of Harbor City was putting natural gas into a SuperShuttle van about 10 a.m. at Clean Energy gas station in Carson, Calif., when the gas tank exploded, throwing him 10-20 yards. There were no passengers in the van and no one else was injured.

Mancuso, a father of six and grandfather of six, was an independent contractor for SuperShuttle for more than 12 years. His wife of 16 years, Dianne, said he was filling up the tank a few miles from home before heading to LAX when she heard a bang, according to CBS.
