HARRISBURG, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has unveiled a new highway safety program, dubbed "Smooth Operator," aimed at curbing aggressive driving, speeding, tailgating and unsafe lane changes. A total of 175 police departments will participate in the program, according to WFMZ-TV News. Those include the police forces for such cities as Allentown and Easton. State statistics indicate that aggressive driving is the No. 1 cause of fatal traffic accidents in Pennsylvania.
