NEW YORK --- The Honda Civic GX, which runs on compressed natural gas, will be sold in New York state for the first time. The vehicle will be for sale at five Honda dealerships on Long Island and an additional 14 dealerships throughout the state, according to NGV Global. The 2007 Civic GX boasts an EPA estimated city/highway fuel economy of 28/39 miles per gasoline-gallon equivalent and carries a retail MSRP of $24,590. Buyers are eligible for a federal tax credit of $4,000 for the car and an additional $1,000 tax credit for buying and installing a home-refueling device.
