DETROIT --- Ford Motor Co. last month started production on a supercharged V-10 engine fueled by gaseous hydrogen, according to a report in Automotive News.
Each engine will be hand-built and installed in E-450 vans for use in airport shuttle fleets. Plans call for Ford to lease about 20 of the vans for three years.
In addition, BMW has plans to launch a gasoline/hydrogen version of its 7-series sedan, Automotive News reported.
