MIAMI – Ryder System, Inc., will market LoJack Systems to commercial truck fleets in an effort to combat truck theft. Ryder Safety Services will be the exclusive online provider of LoJack Systems to commercial truck fleets in the U.S. through its www.RyderSafetyServices.com Web site. "Ryder is a well-respected company that is committed to the safety and security of the commercial transportation industry. We look forward to working with Ryder to implement an online partnership that will make LoJack easily available to fleet operators," said Richard Riley, President and COO of LoJack Corporation. The Ryder Safety Services Web site provides fleet owners and other interested commercial parties access to safety- and security-related products, compliance services, training, and information from the safety, security, and regulatory compliance industry, including: DOT drug and alcohol testing and compliance services; training resources; vehicle and personal safety equipment; security products; and regulatory compliance materials. LoJack’s systems are based on time-tested radio frequency (RF) technology that is covert and effective – signals can be tracked to locate a truck in a steel container, garage or hidden under dense foliage. LoJack police tracking computers (PTCs) are installed in law enforcement vehicles, helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft, which police use to track and recover stolen vehicles.
