KANSAS CITY, MO – An Olathe, Kan., man suffered brain injury after his laptop computer hit him in the head during a car accident in Iowa, according to Internet Broadcasting Systems. He was sitting in the passenger seat when the vehicle’s driver lost control. The car crossed the median and was hit by a semi-trailer, sending an unsecured laptop in the backseat flying into the front of the vehicle. He has still not recovered from the injury. Projectile laptops in the event of a sudden stop or accident are especially a concern among fleet drivers, since many keep their laptops in the back seat of their vehicle.
