BROOKLYN, MI — Safety Wins, a not-for-profit program that offers free driver safety education and driver recognition, invites individuals who drive as part of their job to attend a free driver safety training class at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Fri., Aug. 19. Safety Wins is a cooperative project among The CEI Group/DriverCare, Cavalier Home Builders, and NASCAR Busch racecar driver Jimmy Kitchens and the National Safety Council. The event includes a half day of defensive driver education conducted by a certified National Safety Council trainer and a session that cross-references highway and NASCAR safety by Busch series racecar driver and Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s spotter Jimmy Kitchens. Also included to reward students for their participation are tickets to the afternoon’s Busch and Nextel Cup practices, as well as the ARCA race later that day.
