NEW YORK – The Ford Five Hundred rated "Very Good" in the ratings released on December 9 by Consumer Reports magazine, according to FCN news. In its January 2005 issue, Consumer Reports compares the Five Hundred and other cars in the large sedan segment. Consumer Reports says the large windows and high seats in the Five Hundred provide a sweeping view out, the low doorsills and tall roof line make for easy access, and the trunk is significantly larger that Chryslers. "The Ford Five Hundred emphasizes comfort and good ergonomics over performance and pizzazz," said David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports´ Auto Test Center in East Haddam, Conn. "The Five Hundred offers an elevated driving position, easy access, an enormous trunk and a rear seat with plenty of leg and head room for three adults."
